About Me

Embracing Balance: My Journey of  Yoga and Running

Namaste! Welcome to my blog, My name is Wendy and I am certified 200hr yoga instructor. In this blog I will be sharing my personal journey of how yoga and running have become integral parts of my life. Both practices have played a significant role in my physical and mental well-being, allowing me to find balance, strength, and a deeper connection with myself. I want to take a moment to introduce myself and share my experiences, challenges, and the transformative impact that yoga and running have had on my life.

Discovering Yoga:
My journey began when I stumbled upon a yoga class while searching for a way to relieve stress and anxiety. Little did I know that it would become a life-changing experience. From that very first Standing Deep Breathing (Pranayama), I felt a sense of calmness and self-awareness that I had never experienced before. The intentional breathwork, movements, and moments of stillness allowed me to find inner peace and a sense of calm amidst the chaos of daily life.

Nurturing Mind, Body, and Soul:
Yoga became my sanctuary, a sacred space where I could nurture my mind, body, and soul. Through various yoga styles, such as 26&2, Vinyasa, and Yin, I discovered the power of flexibility, strength, and self-acceptance. Each practice helped me release tension, build physical endurance, and cultivate a deeper understanding of myself. The lessons learned on the mat, like patience, balance, and resilience, began to seep into all aspects of my life.

Discovering Running:
While yoga provided me with inner peace, I felt a longing for a different kind of movement – one that would challenge me physically. That's when I discovered running. Running became my escape, a form of meditation in motion. With each step, I felt a sense of freedom, liberation from the constraints of everyday life. Running taught me perseverance, discipline, and the power of setting and achieving goals.

Mindfulness in Motion:
Just as yoga taught me mindfulness on the mat, running taught me mindfulness in motion. Each run became an opportunity to tune into my body, to listen to its cues, and to honor its limits. I learned to appreciate the present moment, to embrace discomfort as a catalyst for growth, and to find joy in the simple act of putting one foot in front of the other.

Embracing Balance:
Yoga and running have become complementary practices in my life, each offering unique benefits and lessons. Through yoga, I cultivate strength, flexibility, and inner peace. Through running, I challenge myself physically, and find a sense of freedom. Together, they have taught me the importance of balance – of honoring both my need for stillness and my desire for movement.

My blog approach:

The next step in my journey was starting this yoga blog. I decided to do that mainly because of my passion of inspiring others through yoga and running. To simply help people connect with their healing abilities and discover the hero that lies within them. So if you want to heal, grow, get in touch with your inner self, and become empowered, you’re in the right place. Whether you're drawn to the quiet introspection of yoga or the invigorating rhythm of running, I encourage you to keep reading as there will be something for everyone. Stay tuned for more yoga and running wisdom, inspiration, and practical guidance in the upcoming blog posts.

Embrace the journey, be patient with yourself, and let these practices guide you towards a more balanced and fulfilled life.

Namaste
